Key Experience 35 years professional planning experience principally for local authorities
and Development Corporations in England and Australia. For the last 15
years, have been in private practice with Landmark Planning Ltd. For the
5 years, 1994 to 1999, was personally retained as the City Centre Manager
of Leicester on behalf of the City Council, Boots and Marks & Spencers
(11 to 16 hours a week). In that time, was responsible for implementing
major City development projects such as pedestrianisation of Clock Tower
and Humberstone Gate.

Experience has been gained in a wide variety of planning circumstances
and types of work. The three areas of work particularly focused upon have
been Planning Strategies, urban regeneration and planning applications
of all types. Has been responsible for a wide range of urban strategies
and development projects. Locally these include: the St. Georges Area
of Leicester – a fully illustrated Master Plan for the regeneration of an
inner industrial urban area on behalf of a consortium of owners; and
the Loughborough University East Park Master Plan. Clients have
ranged from Government Departments or agencies (MOD/British Coal),
multinational companies (British Aerospace); the financial industry
(Lothbury Property Trust); and local authorities (such as Coventry City
Council); to companies of the scale of Wimpeys and William Davis.

Chair of the East Midlands Royal Town Planning Institute again (2012).
Peter is currently a member of the Design Council/OPUN East Midlands
Design Review Panel and Editor of the Spectrum Planning Magazine.
